Another case registered against former ADC of Dhubri Saibar Rahman

GUWAHATI: More trouble seems to be in store for Assam Civil Service (ACS) officer and former Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dhubri, Saibar Rahman.

The Chief Minister's Vigilance Cell has registered another case (05/2021) against him, this time related to anomalies in the appointment of gaon burahs. According to sources, many irregularities have been found in the appointment of 24 gaon burahs in Mancachar district during 2017-18.

The Chief Minister's Special Vigilance Cell had earlier arrested Saibar Rahman on the charge of acquiring property disproportionate to his known sources of income, through 'corrupt' means.
