GUWAHATI: The Anti corruption youth-power, Assam (ACYPA) has opposed the Education Department's process to open educational institutions amid the corona pandemic. In this regard, ACYPA president Dharmakanta Gogoi issued a statement and said, "Along with the rest of the country, the corona cases are rising rapidly in the State. The corona cases has crossed the 50,000 and with rising deaths. Thus, in this situation, the Assam Government's process to open educational institutions is not acceptable."
Gogoi asserted that if the Union Health Ministry or the State Health Department can give assurance of health security and manage vaccination then the institutions can be reopened in September.
