APCC panel moves State Election Commission for pending polls

GUWAHATI: The APCC team met the State Election Commission and submitted a memorandum demanding that polls should be held at the earliest to the GMC (Gauhati Municipal Corporation) and other pending municipal corporations.

The APCC panel led by its vice president Dwijen Sarma met the Chairman of State Election Commission Alok Kumar and submitted the memorandum.

Among various other points, the APCC pointed out in its memorandum, "The elections to the GMC should have been held within July 31, 2018."
