APDCL recruitment-2019 scam: Probe on in Gauhati University

GUWAHATI: Sleuths of the Chief Minister's Special Vigilance Cell, on Thursday, questioned five more staffers of the APDCL at Bijulee Bhawan — the Power Deparment's headquarters here on Thursday. The five staffers of APDCL (Assam Power Distribution Corporation Limited) were members of the recruitment board of 2019. The OMR sheets of the candidates were kept in the strong room of the APDCL HQs. For evaluation, the answer scripts were given to the GU (Gauhati University) sources.

Sources said that the investigation started following directions from the CMO (Chief Minister?s Office). According to sources, the sleuths on Wednesday questioned several members of the mentioned recruitment board in GU (Gauhati University). However, the investigators have not disclosed details of the interrogation.
