GUWAHATI: The AIN (Army Institute of Nursing) at Basistha organized an International e- conference on the theme 'Current Advancement and Strategies in Nursing' from April 19 to 22. The aim of the e-conference is to enhance the knowledge of nursing professionals so that they become aware of the current advancements in nursing and update their knowledge for a better wellbeing.

Around 500 delegates attended the e-conference. Noted national and international resource persons were invited.

Brig. Parag A. Deshmukh Commandant of 151 Base Hospital and Director AIN presided over the function as the chief guest and inaugurated the e-conference by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Krishna Gohain, former Special Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare and present Vice- Chancellor (I/C) SSUHS, Guwahati, Assam delivered the keynote address. The e-conference was well attended by nursing fraternity including educators, PG (post graduate) and UG (under graduate) students. The conference also featured a session for presentation of scientific papers. The best scientific paper was awarded during the valedictory session. (PIB)
