GUWAHATI: AJP (Asom Jatiya Parishad) general secretary Jagdish Bhuyan and several other members of the party visited the house of Pranab Kumar Gogoi, who has been abducted by the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I). Expressing concern over the incident, the AJP members appealed to the ULFA to release the duo.
"The people of Assam are irate due to the exploitation by capitalists. There are democratic ways to express their displeasure. The AJP is confident the ULFA will understand the sentiments of the people and release the duo," said AJP Spokesperson Ziyaur Rehman.
