Assam: 51st National Inter-State Bridge Championship Begins

GUWAHATI: The 51st edition of the National Inter-State Bridge Championship has started in the Bhogeswari Phukanani Indoor Stadium in the Rudra Singha Sports Complex with a five-day schedule. Kausar Jamil Hilaly, Secretary to the Government of Assam for Sports and Youth Welfare Department, inaugurated the event, which is being held in the state after a long 27 years. Assam Bridge Association President N K Chakrabarty, Assam Bridge Federation of India Secretary C M Kulkarni, Assam Bridge Association Secretary J M Dey, and several other officials of the organisation attended the event and encouraged the participants.

It can be noted that a total of 32 teams from 23 states in the country participated in this event.
