Assam Education Department seeks details of PG teachers in Elementary & Secondary schools

GUWAHATI: The State Education Department has sought professional details of the PG (Post Graduate) teachers working in various Elementary and Secondary-level (up to Class-X) government and provincialised schools across Assam. The information has been sought within September 28.

In this regard, the Director of 'Samagra Siksha, Assam' – Dhruba Jyoti Das has written a letter to the IS (Inspectors of Schools), DEEOs (District Elementary Education Officers, and the District Mission Coordinators.

In the letter, Director Das has asked for professional details of those PG (Post Graduate) teachers who are presently working as regular or as contractual under SSA (Sarba Siksha Abhiyan) and also under the State pool provision.

The details will have to be submitted online by the heads of the respective mentioned educational institutions. To facilitate such submissions, the 'Samagra Siksha, Assam' will be providing the user IDs and passwords.

Meanwhile, 'Samagra Siksha, Assam' sources informed that this is part of the move to reform the Education sector.
