Assam government selects 20 scribes to get pension

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has selected 20 senior scribes of the State for the journalists' pension-2021.

They are Prasanta Jyoti Baruah (Kamrup-Metro), Enaxi Saikia Barua (Kamrup-Metro), Manoj Kumar Bhattacharyya (Kamrup-Metro), Khagen Baishya (Baksa), Lalit Chandra Bora (Jorhat), Kushal Saikia (Kamrup-Metro), Tarun Borah (Sonitpur), Bedabrata Deva Mishra (Kamrup-Metro), Lachit Sharma (Sonitpur), Anil Dutta (Lakhimpur), Nripen Chandra Keot (Nagaon), Roheswar Chiring (Kamrup-Metro), Shibam Prosad Nath (Dima Hasao), Dipak Ranjan Nath (Hailakandi), Bashishtha Narayan Pandey (Kamrup-Metro), Bikash Charaborty (Cachar), Dhiren Deka (Tinsukia), Puran Lal Thakur (Kamrup-Metro), Anil Chandra Das (Kamrup-Metro), and Utchab Pathak (Kamrup-Metro).

Each of the selected journalists will be provided monthly pension of Rs 8,000, stated a notification of the Information & Public Relations, Printing & Stationery Department on Friday.
