Assam government shuffles SPs of several districts in state

GUWAHATI: The state government’s Home & Political department has announced a reshuffle in the Assam Police of officers in the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) in several districts of the state.

Through an order issued by the secretary to the Assam government’s Home department, it was announced that Dr. N. Rajamarthandan, Superintendent of Railway Police, Pandu, Guwahati is being transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, FRRO, Barpeta with effect from the date of taking over charge from Pankaj Yadav, who in turn, is being posted as Superintendent of Police, Tamulpur.

Moreover, Supriya Das, Superintendent of Police, Udalguri has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Nalbari effective from the date she takes over charge from Sudhakar Singh, who is being transferred.

Also Pushkin Jain, Superintendent of Police, Golaghat has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Udalguri with effect from the date of taking over charge from Supriya Das.

The order also said that, Sudhakar Singh, Superintendent of Police, Nalbari has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police (Zonal-I), CID, Assam, Ulubari, Guwahati effective from the date he takes over charge from Dhruba Bora.

Rajen Singh, Superintendent of Police, Baksa is being transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Golaghat with effect from the date of taking over charge from the transferred Pushkin Jain.

Meanwhile, Dhruba Bora, who was posted as Superintendent of Police (Zonal-I), CID, Assam, Ulubari, Guwahati is now being transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Security), Police Commissionerate, Guwahati with effect from the date of taking over charge against existing vacancy.

Also, Debasish Borah, presently the Commandant, 4th APBn., Kahilipara, Guwahati has been allowed to hold the additional charge of the Superintendent of Railway Police, Pandu, Guwahati , in addition to his own duties, until receipt of further orders.

Ujjal Pratim Baruah, Commandant, 14th APBn., Daulasal, Nalbari has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Baksa, to be effective from the date of taking over charge from the transferred SP Rajen Singh.

Lastly, the order said, Anjan Pandit, Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ), Golaghat is now allowed to hold the charge post in the rank of SP/Comdt./DCP/AIGP and is transferred and posted as Commandant, 14th APBn., Daulasal, Nalbari, which will come into effect from the date of taking over charge from Ujjal Pratim Baruah, who has been likewise transferred.
