Appeals students to contribute to nation-building
GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria attended the mega CA Students’ Conference on the theme "Aatma Deepo Bhava: (Be your own light)" organized by the Guwahati Branch of the ICAI on Sunday. Speaking at the conference, the governor said, "This conference serves as a platform for students to enhance their knowledge, exchange ideas, and forge meaningful connections. It is my earnest hope that each and every attendee of the conference prospers in their chosen endeavour, leveraging their skills and talents to make a significant impact in nation-building".
Kataria also hailed the efforts of ICAI in organizing the megaconference. He said that there is no better medium than the education system to increase national prosperity. As responsible and dutiful citizens, the students must hold their heads high and take an active part in all socially relevant missions and development initiatives. ICAI students need to contribute to the ways and means to make the country socially, economically, and culturally stronger. They should come up with suggestions as to how new business models can be created that are not only consumer- and environment-friendly but also globally acceptable. The Governor also said that India, with its glorious history, rich culture, and booming economy, has the potential to become a global superpower. As pioneers of the financial world, CA students have a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to this change. The CA students should unitedly brainstorm on how they can contribute to making India a "Vishwa Guru". He also appealed to the students to take a pledge to discover their potential and make a significant contribution to the growth of the nation.
