GUWAHATI: "The untiring endeavour of 'Samkalp' is praiseworthy. 'Samkalp' is not just an organization but a revolution that has been trying to make the structure of Indian administration better, competitive and adaptable with the the changing situation based on the edifice of Indian culture and heritage," said Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi while attending a 'Guru Samman Samaroh' here on Sunday. The virtually Samaroh was held from New Delhi.

The Governor said that the 'Samkalp' has chosen a right way to pay their tributes to all the 'Gurus' on the pious occasion of 'Gurupurnima'. It is a matter of pride that the 'Samkalp' under the 'Gurukul Yojana' has been providing direction and guidance to the under-privileged and meritorious students to become a part of the civil-service system. He also said that the relationship between the 'Guru' and students is unique. There are many examples of Guru-students relationship which are the tenets of India's civilization.

Prof. Mukhi further said, "What we do for the nation or the society is not a donation but a prime duty of everyone. The type of sincerity that we show towards our family should also be shown to our society. If we can cultivate such thoughts, we can win over anger, jealousy and other negative emotions from our personality."

The Chairman of NGT (National Green Tribunal) Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel was also present on the occasion; and said that civil service is a commitment to serve the nation with utmost dedication and sincerity, stated a press release.
