Assam Govt. constituted commission for alteration of BTR areas

GUWAHATI: The government of Assam has constituted a commission on September 29, 2020 in pursuance of the Memorandum of Settlement finalized with different Bodo groups in the month of January, 2020. The commission had its first meeting on November 2 to discuss the preliminaries for the task entrusted to it. It was decided in the meeting that discussions with signatories of the Memorandum of Settlement will be held on November 9 and 10. After completion of these discussions the commission will initiate steps to further carry out the mandate given to it, stated a release.
