GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has published the final delimitation list of 60 wards across Guwahati, effective from September 21. This development increases the city’s municipal wards from 31 to 60. The last draft list was released on January 6, 2022.
The new wards and their respective areas are Ward 43: Sarusajai, Barasajai, Saukuchi, Nalapara; Ward 44: Basistha (Part), N.H.37 (Part), Barpathar, Ganesh Nagar (Part); Ward 45: Maidam (Part), Khanapara (Part), Bhakrapura (Part), Basistha (Part); Ward 46: Khanapara (Part), Maidam (Part), Beltola (Part); Ward 47: Beltola (Part), Bongaon, Hatigaon (Part); Ward 48: Rukminigaon (Part), GS Road (Part), Capital Complex; Ward 49: Sorumotoria, Hengrabari (Part), VIP Road (Part), Dwaraka Nagar, Mathura Nagar; Ward 50: Japoigog (Part); Ward 51: Hengrabari; Ward 52: Madgaria, Kushal Nagar (Part), Hengrabari; Ward 53: Jyotinagar, Bamunimaidan, New Gauhati Railway Colony; Ward 54: Chandmani, Milanpur, Krishna Nagar (Part); Ward 55: Noomati, Jyotinagar (Part), Bamunimaidan (Part), Ananda Nagar, Choonsali; Ward 56: Bhabanipur, 2 No. Sulbari, Sector-III, New Guwahati; Ward 57: Noonmati Refinery, I No. Salhari, Gopal Nagar, Swahid Nagar, Kenduguri; Ward 58: Birkuchi, Kalitakuchi (Part), Satgaon, Narengi Housing Colony; Ward 59: Baghorbari (Part), Satgaon (Part), Hengrabari (Part), Dwaranda (Part), Juripar (Part) and Ward 60: Baghorbari (Part), Satgaon (Part), Madhals Nagar, Khanapara.
