Assam Higher Secondary Education Council to include Tai language in HS level as subject

GUWAHATI: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has decided to introduce ‘Tai language’ as an elective subject at the higher secondary level from the 2023–2024 academic sessions. According to the notification, as per the resolution of the Academic Committee in its meeting on May 19, 2022, and the subsequent approval of the Council Committee in its meeting on August 12, 2022, the subject will be implemented in the Arts stream.

The syllabus of the subject will be uploaded at the Council’s website, www.ahsec.assam.gov.in, very soon. The textbook on the subject has been prepared by AI-ISEC, and will be made available in due course.
