GUWAHATI: The AHSEC (Assam Higher Secondary Education Council) has decided to hold the Higher Secondary (HS) Final Examinations, 2023, in February-March. To make that happen, the AHSEC will start the online filling up of students' forms from November 1-30, 2022.
The Council appealed to all heads of institutions in a notification issued to the media to notify their students regarding the online filling up of forms from November 1-30, 2022.
The notification also said that the portal for online filling up of forms would remain open in time. The Council said it would inform the institutions regarding the portal.
The Council sought cooperation from all stakeholders to complete the process of filling up the HS final examination forms in time.
Earlier, the Council said it would continue its initiative to review the suitability of various examination centres and tagged institutions for the Higher Secondary (HS) final examinations in 2023.
According to AHSEC sources, the district-level inspection committees comprising principals of reputed colleges and higher secondary schools, along with AHSEC members, will review the stability of the examination centres.
The sources said that the assessment of the continued suitability of 789 examination centres in 34 districts will conclude by December. AHSEC will decide regarding the continuation or discontinuation of each examination centre and tagged institution based on the final reports of the district-level committees.
The system of reviewing the suitability of examination centres by district-level inspection teams started in 2019. The sources said that previously even private schools got selected as examination centres, but the AHSEC stopped that practice after 2017 due to various allegations of anomalies.
