Assam Human Rights Commission celebrated 77th Independence Day in Guwahati

 GUWAHATI: The Assam Human Rights Commission (AHRC) celebrated the 77th Independence Day on Tuesday on its premises in Guwahati. Justice Arup Kr Goswami, Chairperson, hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Santanu Bharali, Member, Gurdip Singh Panesar, ACS, Secretary, Anil Kr Sharma, APS, Superintendent of Police, Assam Human Rights Commission. Dr. Justice Aftab H. Saikia, former Chairperson, Abdul Mazid, and Deba Kr. Saikia, former members, attended the celebrations, along with the staff of the Assam Human Rights Commission. On this occasion, saplings were planted on the premises of the Assam Human Rights Commission by the dignitaries, stated a press release.
