Assam: Junmoni Rabha’s mother raises questions regarding death

GUWAHATI: Sumitra Rabha, mother of the late Sub-Inspector of Assam Police, Junmoni Rabha talked to the members of the media on Thursday and raised several questions regarding the death of the Assam Police officer.

Addressing a press conference, Sumitra Rabha called on the chief minister of the state to deliver justice to the citizens of the state. “I don’t have anything more to get now, I have lost both of my children. I am all alone now, what will I do? Now the chief minister should give justice to the people of Assam, the media who helped and stood with me during the difficult times,” she said.

She also mentioned that the Assam Police, CID and CBI have conducted investigations into the matter regarding the death of her daughter, but no concrete answer has been reached. She also questioned as to how the CBI could suddenly recover the mobile phone of Junmoni Rabha when both Assam Police and CID failed to recover adding that the purse with the several key documents still remains missing. She also said that the chief minister has not visited the family or talked to them.
