Guwahati: A man named Ramen Das from Guwahati has made it to the 'India Book of Records' by composing a book that comprises of only one sentence in the Assamese language. The record-making book is written by the Saint Reformer Sankardeva.

The book, "Guru Pranati" rotates around the life and works of the great social reformer of Assam, Srimanta Sankardeva. The book has 140 pages. The one sentence that contains the whole body of the book has around 29,619 words.

Ramen Das, who is the former GMC ward councilor of Dispur, said that the purpose behind this book was to ensure that the younger generation could read and understand the ideologies of the historical figure, Sankardeva.

He says that he wanted to raise people's curiosity as to how it is possible to write a book in a single sentence. This, he feels, will help the newer generations acquaint themselves with the teachings..

"Guru Pranati" was published by 'Prakashan Kosh' on July 18 of this year, and was awarded the certificate by the 'India Book of Records.'
