GUWAHATI: Assam police arrested one Bangladeshi national named Masud Hasan (36) who made forged documents of Nagaon address and served as an agent in passing Bangladeshi people illegally. He was arrested in Cachar. It is noteworthy that a Bangladeshi national was recently arrested by Paltan Bazar police together with a Indian agent.

The arrested persons are Saiful Islam (23) who made a fake address of village- Ranguli Basti in the district of Nagaon, and Ahamaddul Hassan, an Indian agent, who hails from Nagaon.

In this regard, a case 143/2023 under section 120(B)/419/420/406, and under section 12 of Passport Act 1967 was registered at Paltan Bazar police station. On the basis of their statements, Masud Hasan was arrested by the police.
