GUWAHATI: The team of Assam Police tasked with arresting West Bengal's Garga Chatterjee, returned empty-handed on Tuesday after failing to secure its catch. The Assam Police team led by DCP (Crime) Barun Purkayastha had gone to Kolkata on June 19 to arrest Chatterjee, who had stirred up controversy after posting a derogatory statement against Chaolung Sukaphaa. In this regard, Guwahati Police Commissioner Munna Prasad Gupta stated that the West Bengal Police did not cooperate in the manner the team had expected.

Meanwhile, the police team is being quarantined.
