GUWAHAT: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Bhupen Borah urged party workers not to give out statements on the Congress-led alliance, which has yet to reach a conclusion.

Borah was in New Delhi recently to discuss issues regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the state with the central AICC leadership. He is said to have led the progress made in talks on the poll alliance. Bhupen Bora said, "When we were alone, we could take decisions on our own. But now there is an alliance, so we have to hold discussions. As INDIA is at the national level, we need to discuss every move with the AICC. Those seeking Congress tickets for the Lok Sabha polls will be able to apply after December 3, on a date to be fixed later."
