Assam Pradesh Mahila Congress demands resignation of Manipur CM

GUWAHATI: Calling the incident of the two Manipuri women stripped naked, gang-raped, and paraded around in the glaring daylight an attack on civilized society, the Assam Pradesh Mahila Congress has demanded that the current Manipur government be dissolved immediately and President Rule be imposed. Holding the state government completely responsible for what is going on in the state, they questioned how they could still remain in power for more than 74 days after the incident when all the culprits have not been arrested yet.
