GUWAHATI: The Assam Science, Technology, and Environment (ASTE) Council has announced the state science award for the years 2022 and 2023.

For 2022, the State Science Award for Lifetime Achievement has been conferred on Professor Kamalendu Deb Krori, former principal of Cotton College. In the category of Young Scientist/Innovator Award, it is conferred on Dr. Moon Moon Devi, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Tezpur University.

In 2023, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be conferred on Professor Kishori Mohan Pathak, former vice chancellor of Tezpur University. The Young Scientist/Innovator Award is conferred on Dr. Debanga Raj Neog, Assistant Professor Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, IIT Guwahati.

The award for an institute or organisation for promoting scientific research or disseminating science in the state of Assam is conferred on Aakash Science and Environment Education Centre, Biswanath. The date and venue for the ceremonial conferring of the award will be notified shortly.
