GUWAHATI: The Assam State Jamiat Ulama (ASJU) has said that it will take the legal course against people who registered false objections regarding inclusion of applicants in the NRC. In a statement issued to the media on Wednesday, ASJU’s legal cell member and senior advocate Abdul Kasem Talukdar said that no one can object the inclusion anyone’s names in NRC who entered India before March 25, 1971. “We’re going to support objections registered against people who entered Assam after this cut-off date. However, if such objections are registered against people entering Assam before the cut-off date, we’re here to take the legal course,” he said.
