Assam State Transport Corporation launches Uberization Scheme

GUWAHATI: ASTC (Assam State Transport Corporation) on Friday launched the Uberization Scheme through which the department will introduce 678 more buses to its fleet. Through the scheme, interested candidates – who may be individuals, small business enterprises or self-help groups (SHGs) – can apply for putting their buses on routes to be operated under the ASTC. Chairman Ashok Kumar Bhattarai and vice-chairman Haricharan Boro was present during the launching ceremony. The department is currently accepting proposals from beneficiaries who want to put their buses on routes. For details, one can visit- www.ASTC.assam.gov.in.
