Assam Transport Commissioner faces Gauhati High Court queries

GUWAHATI: The State Transport Commissioner had to face a slew of queries from the Gauhati High Court that wanted to know as to why the department had not implemented various traffic rules and what action it had taken the violation of traffic rules. The High Court heard a PIL relating to traffic congestion in Guwahati on Wednesday. The bench asked the Commissioner to let the Court know if ASTC (Assam State Transport Corporation) buses obey traffic rules or not.
