Assamese film ‘Aamis’ premiered at Tribeca festival in New York City

Guwahati: Assamese director and writer Bhaskar Hazarika’s upcoming movie Aamis (Ravening) was premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. It is to be noted that Aamis is among the 103 films that were screened at the 18th edition of the festival, scheduled from April 24 to May 5 in New York City of United States of America.

Director Bhaskar Hazarika was joined by debutant Lima Das, theatre actor Neetali Das and Music composers Quan Bay (Aniruddha Borah and Tammy Nguyen) and Producer Poonam Deol.

It is to be noted that Aamis (Ravening) had also won the Facebook Award for creating the most buzz at the Film Bazaar Recommends strand at the annual Film Bazaar in Goa. The award was calculated on audience votes and number of visits to the film at the Bazaar’s viewing room. The award includes USD 10000 worth of advertisements on Facebook for the film's promotion.
