Basistha Police seized two coal-laden trucks from National Highway

GUWAHATI: The Basistha Police has seized two coal-laden trucks from the National Highway on Monday night. According to reports, the trucks bearing registration number ML04-C5395 and ML11-4188 respectively were travelling from Meghalaya without any valid documents to carry the coal consignment. The police have arrested five persons along with the contraband. They have been identified as Myntoimi Kendait (27), Dehum Taraing (27), Heime Surting (20), Salches Phawa (19), and Sudipta Pal (34). In this regard a case (1307/2020) has been registered U/S-120(B)/379/406/420 IPC.
