BGMYS has demended to implement assured schemes for Baghjan victims

GUWAHATI: The Baghjan Gaon Milanjyoti Yuva Sangha (BGMYS) has demanded that the Baghjan gas well inferno should be doused at the earliest.

The BGMYS said the oil well exploded into a massive inferno on June 9. The Sangha demanded that the schemes announced by the Chief Minister for the victims of the Baghjan tragedy should be implemented.

"After the blast, the assurances given by the Chief Minister during his Baghjan visit have not yet been fulfilled as yet. The schemes announced for the victims of the tragedy have not yet been implemented. The fire has affected the surrounding areas of oil well," the BGMYS added while reiterating their demand to douse the inferno.
