GUWAHATI: After the announcement of dates for the BTC (Bodoland Territorial Council) elections, the State BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has become more active in the BTAD region.
The party has already been organizing election rallies where president Ranjeet Kumar Dass, Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and BJP general secretary Dilip Saikia are taking active participation.
Additionally, the party has appointed an in charge and a co-in charge in each of the 27 constituencies.
President Dass assured the people that the council will be formed under the BJP. "People of BTAD have welcomed us. In the last 15 years, the region has not seen much development under the BPF regime. Despite numerous funds being released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the region has not been developed," Dass asserted.
