Bid To Molest Lady Police at Shankardeva Park, Bharalamukh

GUWAHATI: Failing to protect the common folk, Assam police recently discovered that they themselves are insecure as well. On Tuesday night, four lady police personnel found themselves cornered by a group of miscreants who tried to molest them at Shankardeva Park, Bharalamukh. The four women, who had finished duty during day-time, were out to enjoy the festival in the evening in civil dresses when the unfortunate incident occurred. One of them, identified as Jogen Boro of Ganeshpara in Fatasil was caught, while the rest fled. A case (617/19 U/S 354/392) has been registered against Boro at Bharalamukh police station. Police are now on the search for the absconding miscreants.
