Blow to Ola, Uber service in Guwahati city; all drivers to join a new organisation

GUWAHATI: In a sudden blow to the services of Ola and Uber in the city, the drivers of these two wings of the city under the banner of 'All Assam Cab Mazdoor Sangha' and the 'All Guwahati Cab Drivers Union' have decided to boycott the Ola and also Uber cab services.

Addressing the media at the Dispur Press Club here in Guwahati on Sunday, the spokesperson of the 'All Assam Cab Mazdoor Sangh' and 'All Guwahati Cab Drivers Union' Dhurba Raj Assam addressing said that their members will now come out of the two mentioned cab services to join the newly constituted cab service delivery firm — 'Pay-India'.

The leaders of the two protesting organisations said, "We took this decision as the authorities of Ola and Uber did not address our long-pending grievances.
