Body of elephant calf recovered in Chatargaon under Rani Forest

GUWAHATI: Body of a female elephant calf was recovered from Thiopani Waterfall in Chatargaon under Rani Forest by the Forest Department on Wednesday.

The body of the calf was cremated by the forest officials following proper rituals. The officials have suspected that the calf might have slipped from the hill as two of its legs were injured.
