Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon receives Bhupen Hazarika Award

GUWAHATI: Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon was conferred with the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Award by the Beltola Bohagi Utsav Samiti recently. Earlier, this award was to be presented on April 22 at Beltola, Guwahati, but due to her health issues, she could not attend the programme.

Recently, the Samiti visited Nilay Apartment, Bandra, Mumbai, to present her with the award. The award consisted of a memento of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, a felicitation letter, an Aaluwan, a rhino statue, a xarai and japi.

After receiving the award, she thanked and praised the Samiti and promised to visit Assam and learn more about its culture. The award was presented by Samiti's General Secretary, Sanjoy Goswami, cultural secretary, Jayanta Gogoi, and others.
