GUWAHATI: After organizing free medical camps for flood victims in the districts of Darrang, Jorhat, Barpeta, Nagaon, Dhubri and Lakhimpur Dr Kafeel Khan commented that the BRD oxygen tragedy was a manmade massacre.
Talking about the launch of Guwahati-Assam chapter of “Health for All” campaign he said, “After the BRD Oxygen tragedy I realized the broken phase of health system that country is currently dealing with. So, it’s an initiative to help those who are out of reach by the schemes of government. India is the 2nd largest country having diabetes and 3rd largest country with HIV, in each hour 100 of kids are dying in this country and they are mostly the dalits and backward people that nobody cares about.”
After the successful completion of organizing the medical camps in flood affected area Dr Kafeel Khan Mission Smile Foundation and All India Medical Service Center addressed the media and informed that all together 10 camps were organized that reached more than 3500 patients with medical care in free of cost where 15 doctors and paramedicos offered their service.
