Broker held at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital

GUWAHATI: Close on the heels of a broker being arrested from the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for taking money to provide ICU beds, another suspected broker was apprehended on Monday at the hospital premises on the charge of procuring free medicines on the basis of a manipulated doctors' prescription.

The accused person has been identified as Kuldeep Dutta of Hengerabari here.

The GMCH authorities have handed him over to the Bhangagarh police.

According to police sources, the prescription will have to be tested forensically for further details.
