Bureaucratic reshuffle; Gyanendra Dev Tripathi new Commissioner of Home & Political Dept

GUWAHATI: Gyanendra Dev Tripathi is the new Commissioner and Secretary of the Home and Political Department, Assam. He was on Central deputation. He will also look after the Implementation of Assam Accord and Border Area Development departments as commissioner and secretary. A notification to this effect has been issued by the Personnel department, Assam on Saturday.

The other reshuffles include additional charge of Transformation and Development department to P&RD Principal Secretary JB Ekka apart from other existing Parliamentary Affairs, Labour Welfare and Tea Tribe Welfare departments.

Commissioner and Secretary M Angamuthu has been relieved from the additional charge GAD and SAD. He will now look after WPT&BC, Tourism, Sports and Youth Welfare and Commissioner of North Assam Division.

Commissioner and Secretary MS Manivannan has also been relieved from additional charge of Home and Political. He will now look after Revenue and Disaster Management, CEO of ASDMA, besides SAD and GAD as additional charge.

Additional Secretary Kamal Kumar Baishya has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary of Transformation and Development department.
