Burglars break into house, loot cash and valuables in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A group of six to seven armed burglars broke into a house at Madhubon in Bamunimaidan during the wee hours of Friday. The burglars looted Rs 10 lakh worth of jewellery, cash, and other valuables. The victim is identified as Pranjit Das. According to sources, before making the loot, the burglars sprayed the family members with unknown substances. The burglars were armed with daggers. A case has been lodged at Chandmari Police Station.
