Byatikram MASDO organized interactive session with Singer Mayukh Hazarika

GUWAHATI: Byatikram MASDO successfully organized an interactive programme on Sunday with the popular Singer Mayukh Hazarika to share his experience and inspire and motivate the younger generation, stated a press release.

The programme was attended by esteemed guests such as Manisha Hazarika, eminent singer and mother of Mayukh Hazarika; Hrishikesh Goswami, Debojit Bhuyan, eminent journalist; Dr Mainu Devi, professor and writer; Joyprakash Medhi, cultural activist; Atreyee Chakroborty, Odissi dancer and writer; Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Guwahati Dr Shah Mohammad Tanvir Mansur and his better half Munera Azam. The programme started with a brief introduction of guests on the dais, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and felicitation programme. All the esteemed guests spoke about how they felt to be present in the programme and what made them attend the session and how the programme could preserve local songs.

Addressing the gathered audience, the publisher and founder of Byatikram Group, Dr Saumen Bharatiya said, "It feels amazing to organize such programmes where the audience can interact with their beloved personalities and give them a memorable experience."

The programme witnessed wonderful interaction between Mayukh Hazarika and the audience and some melodious songs. In between, Hazarika shared his experience of his early career as Head of Camera at NDTV Lifestyle, how people struggle to cover news and what consequences they face. Gradually, he shared his experience as a singer. He mentioned that starting his career as a singer was a beautiful thing as his mother taught him to sing from a very early age and he feels blessed. In between the programme, Manisha Hazarika shared her story about how after Jayanta Hazarika's demise she motivated their son to follow his father's path, though he was in a different profession. On demand of the audience, Mayukh Hazarika sang songs of his father Jayanta Hazarika and paternal uncle Dr Bhupen Hazarika.

Mayukh Hazarika concluded the session with a motivational message to all the young aspirants who dreams to be a vocalist and inspired them not to leave the roots of the land of the mighty Brahmaputra for Western music. He said, "You can upgrade but do not forget your roots."

The programme ended with a vote of thanks for all present.
