GUWAHATI: Campaigning for the by-polls on October 21 in the four Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) of Sonari, Rangapara, Jania and Ratabari, will conclude on Saturday. The ruling BJP had fiercely campaigned in all the four LACs for the past few days with the deployment of two helicopters kept at Borjhar Airport in Guwahati. Three top leaders of the party in the State – Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, NEDA (North-East Democratic Alliance) convener Himanta Biswa Sarma and State party president Ranjeet Kumar Dass- were seen taking the lead roles. Party president Ranjeet Kumar Dass campaigned in Sangbeel, Bhairabnagar, Rangpur, and Bidyanagar under Ratabari LAC on Friday. While addressing the mass, Dass said, “We will definitely emerge victorious in all the four seats and the Congress party is sure to suffer a massive defeat. Regarding the NRC, the citizens whose names were not included in the list have nothing to worry about as everything will soon be sorted.”
