Central Guwahati Police District rescued Minor Girls in City

GUWAHATI: A team of the Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) from the Noonmati Police Station rescued a 16-year-old minor girl after she was reportedly abducted by a 17-year-old minor boy from Narengi Tiniali. Police sources said that both of them were traced at Kamakhya Railway Station and detained.

Meanwhile, in another incident, another team of the EGPD from the Dispur Police Station rescued a minor girl from Mukalmua after she was reportedly abducted by one Sakir Ahmed of Chaygaon. Police sources said that Sakir Ahmed has been arrested from Goroimari in connection with a case registered in this regard (1761/22 U/S 366 (A) IPC).
