CM Sarbananda Sonowal reviews AIDC initiatives | food processing industries

GUWAHATI: In a bid to capitalize the potential of food processing industries in the State, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal directed the Industries & Commerce Department to prepare a roadmap for launching a mission exclusively to deal with food processing sector under Chief Minister's Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana in the State.

The Chief Minister while reviewing the activities of Assam Industrial Development Corporation at Janata Bhawan today underlined the possibilities of food processing industries and asked the department to immediately come up with a strategy to make best use of this sector. He asked the officials to explore possibilities for value addition of agricultural products which are produced abundantly in the State through food processing industries, a press release said.
