Commissioner for PwDs issues summonses to three respondents

GUWAHATI: The State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (PwDS), which has the powers of a Civil Court, has summoned the Chairman, Topcem Cement; the president of Rotary Club of Guwahati and the Principal of Arya Vidyapeeth HS School in connection with the accessibility of persons with disabilities in a toilet constructed in Arya Vidyapeeth HS School.

The three respondents have been summoned to appear before the Commissioner Civil Court on March 23, 2021 at 11.30 am. The Commissioner has also directed the petitioner Nripen Malakar, secretary of the Pratibandhi Suraksha Sansgtha, Assam (PSSA) to remain present on the fixed date and time.
