Complaint lodged against Guwahati Commerce College (GCC) teacher

GUWAHATI: The guardians of one Subham Kar, a student of the Guwahati Commerce College (GCC), have lodged a complaint at the Chandmari Police Station against a professor of the college who allegedly slapped their son and ruptured his eardrum on Thursday.

The professor has been identified as one Hemanta Kumar Deka.

However, the family however claimed that no action has been taken by the police till now.

The student said that he is suffering hearing loss on his left ear after the slap. The victim, a B.Com 6th semester student, claimed that the slap resulted in rupturing of his left eardrum and 30 per cent hearing loss.

The medical reports of the victim is said to have reported a "mild conductive hearing loss" in his left ear.
