Complete Gaon Panchayat works by March: Kamrup (M) DC Pallav Gopal Jha

GUWAHATI: Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha has instructed block development officers (BDOs) of the district to ensure that all gaon panchayat schemes of FY 2019-2020 are completed within 31st March.

The directive came during a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner's office here on Saturday, where Jha took stock of various ongoing works in the panchayat areas of the district.

The Deputy Commissioner further instructed that priority should be accorded to completion of schemes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Those who participated in the meeting included the chief executive officer of the Kamrup (M) zilla parishad and presidents and secretaries of various gaon panchayats.
