Coronavirus scare: Guwahati’s Hotel Sukhmani sealed by administration

Guwahati: Kamrup (Metro)district administration, has sealed the Hotel Sukhmani, located in Paltanbazar, Guwahati after news came out that a woman, who has tested for novel coronavirus positive, from Tripura stayed in the hotel for two days. The official revealed that Gitarani Karmakar stayed the hotel on March 16 and 17 this year. The woman has, reportedly, contracted for the deadly virus two days ago. She informed the authority that she had travelled Guwahati last month. As soon as the news came out, the Kamrup(M)administration sealed the hotel and quarantined all its staff, on Wednesday. As per reports, the woman also shopped in a mall during her stay in Guwahati.
