GUWAHATI: The Cotton College Students' Union (CUSU) on Monday submitted a memorandum to the Registrar of the university with a charter of three demands.

According to newly-elected General Secretary of the CUSU Abhishek Mahanta, the first demand is facilitation of change of Major and General Elective (GE) subjects in case of 1st semester students of the graduation courses.

Mahanta said that the second demand is institution of an enquiry into the problems being faced by students of Cotton University in securing the Ishan Uday Scholarship and urgent remedial action in this regard.

The third demand is reduction of fees in case of the Self-Financing Course, he said.

Mahanta said that the Registrar assured the CUSU of taking necessary action to fulfil these demands.
