GUWAHATI: Three students of Cotton University have allegedly attacked a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader brutally on Friday night at Guwahati Railway Station. Bijoy Pathak, the General Secretary of BJP in Guwahati, sustained a severe attack after being brutally beaten by the three miscreants.

Bijoy Pathak sustained 17 stitches on his head after he was taken to the hospital. An FIR under various sections has been registered after identifying the three miscreants. All the accused have been arrested by police.

According to our sources, the miscreants are boarders of a hostel at Cotton University. The BJP has strongly voiced against the crime and has protested demanding stringent action. Police have assured appropriate action against the mischief.
