COVID-19: Govt. withdraws containment zone Restrictions on Spanish Garden from Apr 30

GUWAHATI: Government has withdrawn containment zone restrictions on Spanish Garden in Guwahati from April 30. But the lockdown restrictions imposed will stay in place.

The containment period of Spanish Garden premises in RG Baruah Road was extended for more 14 days recently, said a notification issued by District Disaster Management Authority.

The decision was taken in accordance with the revised COVID-19 guidelines. The notification stated that, “This order is made under ‘The Assam COVID-19 Regulations 2020’ and any violation of this order will attract action.”

The Spanish Garden premises were sealed earlier this month after one of its residents named Manish Tibrewal had tested positive for COVID-19. He was admitted to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and released on Sunday after a series of tests
